Ground Education seeks to educate the whole child through the power of nature to teach, inspire, affirm, and connect. They operate in several Long Beach school gardens, and are looking for college interns interested in education, social justice, sustainability, or child development.

Long Beach Environmental Services offers a Master Composter Recycler (MCR) certification program consisting of 8 classes in 8 weeks, along with 25 volunteer hours practicing composting.
